About:
Keanu Charles Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on September 2, 1964. After his parents split, he lived with his mother, and bounced around different areas before settling in Toronto. He struggled in school due to his dyslexia and at 15 years old he decided he wanted to become and actor.
1989-1994:
In 1989, he starred in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. He would really breakthrough into the mainstream with the sequel, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. He would star in other films such as Dracula, Point Break, Speed, and Much Ado About Nothing.
1995-1998:
His career would then fluctuate as critics agreed he was miscast in several movies, and said that his performances were generally lack luster, except for the occasional gem.
1999-2004:
He would then land the role of Neo in The Matrix. This role kept Reeves' name afloat while his acting was critiqued and somewhat inconsistent. He would star in the second and third matrix sequels, but they did not do nearly as well as the first.
2014-2020
After another period of hit or miss movies, Reeves would star in John Wick, which was a huge success. He would go on to make 3 sequels, that each were praised. Afterward, he would star in Cyberpunk 2077 as Johnny Silverhand, which was also greatly recieved. He became well known, and became a big name to a larger audience.
2021-Present:
After his role in John Wick and other successes, he would co-create a comic called “BRZRKR”, and would continue to write and lend his voice to other projects, before starring in some upcoming roles like Good Fortune.
Philanthropy:
Reeves is known to a large philanthropist, and has donated a large amount of his own money to fund different charities and projects. He has donated especially to cancer charities and was recognized in “100 Influential Celebrities in Oncology” by OncoDaily. He has also taken pay cuts in movies so that the studio would have enough money to higher larger actors. He has also been known to gift the crew gifts, and help out if they were in a financial bind.

Due to him being a super grounded and down to earth guy, he has gotten a lot of internet attention and praise. Screen Rant said that Reeves is "commonly considered one of the kindest, most thoughtful actors in Hollywood". The Guardian has stated that he has a reputation of "one of the nicest, humblest guys on the Hollywood A-list". The BBC says that he is known for his "gentle, mild-mannered persona", and is known as "the nicest man in Hollywood." Time has dubbed Reeves as the "master of the fan encounter", and Snopes observed that Reeves is "so beloved that he's a cultural fixture".
